Chinese Food + Brandy = Awesome weekend...until the Vikings game.

This was my supper on Friday night and for my late breakfast on Saturday morning...... Very delicious.

Then I finished the Brandy for supper on Saturday night. 

After watching the Vikings game today, I don't think they will actually give up on the season.  I say this only because if they would actually play for the entire game like they do in the first half, they would probably beat the hell out of most everyone they face. But they don't, so it getting to be about the time to either let Christian Ponder or Joe Webb start instead of McNabb.  Donovan really hasn't shown thta he is any better than what the Vikings had with Tavaris Jackson.

The Twins won today.  This better not be their last win of the year since I will be attending 2 of the last 3 games of the season.  My luck the only game they will win this week will be on Tuesday.  The one game I am not going to. 

Hearing that Michael Vick broke his hand today was awesome news.  I really don't like him.

The New TV season begins! Having no life continues!

This is so sad:  A schedule of all the TV shows that I will be watching now that new episodes have/or will be soon starting.

Monday:  How I Met Your Mother, 2 Broke Girls, House.  Two and a Half Men, for only a couple weeks though. I have a feeling that it will go down hill fast, and I don't really like Ashton Kutcher.  He is weird and stupid.

Tuesday:  New Girl.

Wednesday:  Modern Family, Happy Endings, Cougar Town and South Park when they come back.  I'll probably check out Suburgatory, Up All Night and Free Agents.

Thurday:  The Big Bang Theory, Community, Parks and Recreation, The Office, I'll watch the first couple episodes of Whitney to see if it is worth my time. Also Wipeout whever it returns.

Friday:  Chuck - the final season, Kitchen Nightmares, Shark Tank, and I will check out Grimm.

Saturday: It appears the only thing to watch if Rules of Engagement, and what ever is on the movie channels.

Sunday:  Will finish Breaking Bad, which I think might be the best show on TV.  Dexter, Eastbound and Down, and the Walking Dead.  I'm guessing I might try to watch Once Upon a Time for a few weeks to see how it is. 

I have no life.  Which is proven because I will still watch Conan just about every night Monday through Thursay and probably early 2012, Archer, Justified, Californication, Shamless, will have new episodes that I will watch. Actually there are probably some I am forgetting even.

I also will fit in between all these shows, time to watch lots of movies and play video games, especially Dead Island, which is awesome!  It might be weird, but it really makes me feel better about life when I can beat the hell out of a Zombie with a hammer.  Running them over with a truck is fairly amazing as well.

I came upon this ad today and needed to share it right away!

I think I might move to Vegas just so I can play this game 24/7.

Also, bought the game Dead Island yesturday.  It almost made me happy crushing the skulls of zombies with a heavy pipe, or my foot. It was very relaxing.  Can't wait to get home to kill some more! 

Killing zombies is a great stress reliever. You should try it sometime.

The Vikings almost ruined a whole day.

Stupid Vikings, good work on being like the rest of the pro sports teams in Minnesota.  Except for the Lynx, who, after so many years of being bad, had to become good at some point.  I got really excited for the Vikings after the opening kickoff and that even lasted for most of the 3rd quater.  I guess I should have known they would only actually play for one half of the game.  Just like every other year.  So now it only looks like the only thing to look forward to this winter is boot hockey!

If it wasn't for the season finale of True Blood, the series finale of Entourage, and the new episode of Breaking Bad, this day would have been a total waste of time.  Well, I guess I did get my lawn mowed and some towels washed. YAY!

Weekend recap:

Friday:  Ate some chinese food, watched the Twins game a little bit, drank a lot of UV Cake with Mike.  Very boring up until the alcohol drinking.

Saturday:  Woke up and foud out that I put the bottle of Diet Coke I was drinking the night before into the freezer.  Went to Red Wing to buy some things, mostly candy and season 5 of Hell's Kitchen.  Then I came home and started watching Hell's Kitchen, took a nap, finished the game iNFAMOUS2. Awesome game!  The watched the movie The Beaver. Very depressing movie, but it was fantastic.  Then watched some more tv and fell alseep.

Sunday:  Woke up, washed dishes, cleaned some stuff up, mowed my lawn.  This was done by noon. Then I make the leftovers from the chinese on Friday night, and watched some more Hell's Kitchen, the Twins lose, took a nap. Then came the exciting first half of the Vikings game.  I really thought they were going to win!  After the crap of a second half I don't have much hope for the Vikings this year anymore.  They don't really change from year to year. 
The finale of True Blood was probably the best that the show has had in its 4 seasons.  I can honestly say taht I am more excited for the next season than any other seasons of the show.
The series finale of Entourage was awesome. It ends with what I can see as a lead in for a possible movie.  Otherwise, if this is the ending without a movie, I am happy with it. It pretty much takes care of most of the lose ends that I think that were important to the show. It will be missed. I really do hope that a movie is made in the future.

That was the weekend.  Very boring, I know.  Next week doesn't look anymore exciting either.  Let's hope the Twins and the Vikings can do a whole hell of a lot better next week than they did this week. If not, there really won't be much to get excited about for a while.



Except for my learning of the mandolin ( I have made a little progress) and the Ghost Trap that I will be trying to buy in October.

Mandolin!!

Came home from work today and was going to mow my lawn.  Instead there was a package on my doorstep and I opened it up to see my mandolin arrived today!

This is very exciting.  Now all I have to do is learn how to play them!!
I think I should be able to figure out the gong easily.

Sleeping is not working out very well tonight.

Tried to fall alseep and cannot, now I am watching The Social Network. I do have so say that so far it is very good, not one of the best movies that I have seen, but it is actually very good.  Since I am bored and can't sleep, I am going to share what I have been up to the last few days. Not that anyone cares, but I am going to do it anyway.

Friday - I watched the top of the new water tower in Goodhue get attached to the rest.  It was interesting to seeing something like that happen. It doesn't happen very often. After that and lunch I went to see Shark Night 3D, although I did not see it in 3D. I don't really care for 3D since it costs more to see and doesn't enhance the films for me.  I really enjoyed the movie, it was fun and entertaining. It wasn't a great movie by all means, but if you like those cheesy movies on SyFy, then you would probably enjoy Shark Night.  After the movie I decided to have a bunch of drinks while watching the rest of the series of The Good Guys.

Saturday - I woke up early because of a head ache caused by all the alcohol the night before, probably.   To try to get rid of the head ache, I took some pills, sat in my recliner, played some Madden 12, and then watching the crappy movie that is Double Dragon.  After this I spent the day and all night watching the entire series of Dirty Sexy Money.  It was a good show that I wish would have lasted longer than the 2 short seasons.  Mostly because of the big reveal at the very end of the last episode. 

Sunday -  I played more Madden 12 during the day and watched the HBO lineup that night.  It does look like the True Blood season finale and the series finale of Entourage are going to be awesome.  I also had some drinks, very good ones, UV Cake and Diet Coke. Good stuff!!

Monday - It is Labor Day today and I have the day off from work.  I went to the Twins game to day, and from what had happened, it looks like I went to the better game of the doubleheader they had today.  With this loss, I think that the Twins record at Target Field while I am in attendence is 3-12.  The I got home, ate some pizza and watched Hell's Kitchen and the Twins lose again. Oh yeah, now watching The Social Network and typing this.
