Bubbles!!

First, the awesome news, I am going to see Trailer Park Boys live on December 14th, 2012!!!

Which means, I get to see this guy:

I am very excited for this, I'm also very excited that there will be a Trailer Park Boys 3 movie too!

The next awesome news, I am going to see Stephen Lynch for the 4th time on November 16th, 2012.
Included with the tickets I bought for that show, I should get to be there for his sound check and have a "meet and great" with him. I get to meet The Craig Machine!!

Let's see, what else, well my parents and the new family member moved to LaCrosse, WI and got out of the crap state of Kansas. So that should be nice to have them closer. My little brother got engaged a few weeks ago, which is exciting as well!

The new season of darts started at the beginning of the month. I still suck at it. But it gets me out of the house. Which is good, because I've been thinking too much and have not been sleeping well. So the night out helps clear the mind.

Usually I can keep my mind busy with video games, movies, TV shows, and hanging around people. But once there is a break from all those, my mind sort of wanders off into the dark and I start thinking of all the shitty things that happened in the last year or so. This usually happens when I'm by myself, driving, sitting around places, or every so often when there is just an extended break in conversation while with other people. Lately this has been happening when I'm ready to sleep.

So because of this, over the last month I have bought a few new albums and a bunch of movies to keep me entertained.

The music I bought, these are all good stuff and fun to listen to:
Hugh Laurie - Let Them Talk
Reel Big Fish - Candy Coated Fury
Mumford & Sons - Babel

The movies I bought:
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter - Not as good as the book, but still awesome
Halloween II - the Rob Zombie one
Bait - This is pretty good for an Australian movie about Great White sharks in a flooded store.
Moonrise Kingdom - Very quirky but I love it.
Seeking a Friend for the End of the World - One of my favorite movies of the year

That's all I got for now. I've been getting super bored lately, so I might start updating this more, not sure I have much to say but who knows, I could come up with something entertaining.

The Adventures of Brian & Kyle Eps. - 1 &2

Brian Strauss and I have a lot of disturbingly weird conversations when we are together. The other day we thought it would be funny to record them for everyone to see!  So, after looking at Target, where this creepy old lady works, I found a dash mount for my phone at Walmart. Once we got in the car I mounted that shite on the dash and the recording of our awesomeness had begun.

We made two videos so far. They are crazy stupid, but I find it to be very funny.  Here they are:

The Adventures of Brian & Kyle Ep. 1 - Poodle

The Adventures of Brian & Kyle Ep. 2 - American Idol Car Tryouts

Don't worry, we will probably be making more!!

I saw this fake movie poster the other day and wanted to share it:
Have a nice day

You Shouldn't See a Comedy Show if You Don't Like Jokes

I'm back!    With more news about stupid people.

Having seen several comedians live, and watching many others on tv or the interwebs, I what it's like to dislike some of their material, style of comedy, or just that particular person(s).  Now while watching these acts, if I don't like something, I have a few choices with what to do about it.  They are:

1. Keep watching until the shitty part is over
2. Quit watching altogether
3. Become a heckler (when seeing a live show)

There are probably more options but these are the top three that come to mind when I'm watching something.

The first two are reasonable suggestions.  I've watched several comedians that I didn't really like, so I turned the channel. A few of the ones I do like have told jokes that I didn't really find entertaining but I stayed with it until the good stuff was back. I've never done the heckler thing. I find it rude, inappropriate and inconsiderate to everyone at the show.

The reason I bring this up is because I just read a couple articles about some women who didn't find a joke by Daniel Tosh very funny, the she decided to let him know by shouting at him.

Here are a couple links:
http://www.cnn.com/2012/07/11/showbiz/daniel-tosh-jokes-apology-ew/index.html?npt=NP1

http://tv.msn.com/tv/article.aspx?news=742117&ocid=ansent11

Tosh, went on Twitter to apologize for the joke, but I'm wondering why?  He had no obligation to apologize, as far as I'm concerned, the women who interupted his show should have to be apologizing.

Before you disagree, because Tosh did pretty much say that the woman should be gang raped on the spot, you have to remember that these are jokes. You are not to take them seriously and you are not supposed to interupt a show that many people are paying money to see. People are there to hear jokes and not to seee someone in the crowd commenting on them. I've been to several live shows where this has happened. It is really fucking annoying for everyone there, especially the performer.

The woman says she'd never seen Tosh's act before that night, and was offended by that joke, and his response to her comment. I think, if she had some common sense, she would have looked up some of his material before she went to the show. That's just me though, what do I know? I mean, what did she expect when she disrupted the show for everyone there? He had every right to say what he did after her interuption, it's not like he was being serious about really wanting her to get raped.  Besides, he is not the first comic to make jokes about this subject. I've heard lots of comics makes jokes about it. Don't get me wrong, it's one of the worst things in the world, but you can't just pick and choose what people joke about. If people can joke about one thing, they should be able to joke about everything.

You as an individual can choose not to listen to things if you don't like them. Don't ruin other people's fun because you feel the need to be an inconsiderate asshole!

Here is another good way to handle a heckler:

Reason #6,666 That Most People are Assholes and the World just keeps getting worse.

I haven't been on here in the last few weeks, mostly because I was in a terrible mood and hated everything more than I usually do. There would have been no way for me to vent while still keeping things light hearted. I also would not have been able to control myself to not say mean and terrible things about people, more than I already have, in a public way. Well, maybe not public, since I can only imagine about 3 people reading this nonsense anyway.

I did eventually wake up one morning, with a clear head, and just remembered shit happens. Most of it is unexpected, terrible and you can't really avoid it. Life is just the way it goes. Much like it says in Greendale Communtiy College's school song:

Ok, enough of that personal crap. Here is what you really want to read:

As I was reading some morning news on MSN, as I am one to do, I came upon an article that only helps prove that people are, in fact, Bastard coated Bastards with Bastard filling. Which is pretty much the same as an asshole like the title says.  The reason # I made up, it just popped right up there in my head, thought it was a good fit and used it.

Here is the actual article if you choose to read it for yourself:
http://redtape.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2012/03/13/10657012-up-against-the-wall-should-district-be-allowed-to-demand-middle-schoolers-facebook-password

To summarize the story, some 12 yr old girl posted, on the evil entity that is Facebook, that she did not like their hall monitor because she was mean.  Oh btw, she did this at home, not at school. Somehow the higher ups at her school got a copy of this, called the girl to the office, gave her detention, and forced her to give them her login info for her profile.  The best part of this, is that there was a cop in the room. I mean seriously, are they going to taze a 12 yr old girl for not giving out her own personal info?  Then, after this happend, the girl posted another comment on Facebook wondering who told on her? Well, the school saw this too. So they proceeded to call her back down to the office and have another discussion.

Now, I am not one to just blurt out my opinions about topics like the Fourth Amendment. I like to stick to simple things like Money:  Love it! It directly affects my happiness; and the Death Penalty:  I say kill 'em all, the world is overpopulated with stupid people anyways.  But, what the people at this school are doing is so wrong and stupid and I'd like to vent a bit.

First thing that I want to know is who the hell do these fucktards at this school think they are?!  I get that schools have student conduct policies, but what kind of Nazi shit box school thinks they have the right to discipline students for what they put on the internet, especially when it was done off school grounds?  Sure, there are special occasions where something should be done. Like if one students says they are going to junkpunch another after recess or something.

I mean come on, when I was in school I said things like what she said all the time, probably worse things. The girl shouldn't be on Facebook anyway, since she is only 12 and it requires the age of 13, but that's the parents responsibility for monitoring such things and a whole other discussion in itself.   Schools should be educating the children and trying to teach them not to be dicks and assholes for the rest of their lives, not worrying about the meaningless shit they put on the interwebs.  Again, there are special circumstances that should be delt with.

In closing:

Everyone should mind their own damn business!

Fuck Facebook!

New Car Ideas!

For the past few months I have been thinking that in the not so distant future, I will need to buy a new car. I have narrowed it down to two options. Option 1 is probably not going to happen without winning the lottery or something, since it is very expensive. The car is supposed to be around $90,000 when it comes out in 2013.  Option 2 will take some saving and spending more wisely so to afford such a vehicle (the cost would be around $28,000), but will probably be the one I go with. Unless I had the money for Option 1 of course.

Here are the two options that I have narrowed it down to:

Option 1:

Yep, a 2013 Electric Delorean!
This car would be badass to have. It's the freaking Time Machine!
The price is kind of steep, but it would almost be worth it.
This is one of the battery packs that would be in the car. There would also be one in the front of the car.
The car also has some features to hook up your iPod/iPhone and built in GPS

The link below is for an article about the car in better detail than what I'm giving.

Option 2:

This is the Mini Cooper Countryman
It is a 4 door 4 wheel drive Mini Cooper. I find it to be very awesome.
It will also most likely be my next car.

I have looked at one of these in a showroom and it is everything I could want in a car. Plus, it just looks like fun to drive around.

The machine that will be replaced:

It has been a good car, but over the past year, I have had to start making repairs to it. I don't really want to stick a lot more money into something when I can just upgrade to something better.

Now if I had unlimited money I would finding a way to get my dream car:

Saw a movie on Saturday

Saturday night was a lot less boring than the rest of my long weekend.  At about 6:00 pm I got a random call to go see The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo at 6:30 pm in Red Wing. We cut it close, but made just as the movie was starting!

Now, I have not read any of the books, so I didn't really know what to expect from the movie. I thought it was really good. The ending was a bit longer than I would have liked, but I'm guess that it was needed to continue story with the next two movies, which should get made, hopefully in the near future.

The best part about seeing the movie though, was hearing a group of High School girls comment on the movie afterwards. As they were talking and being stupid, one of them said "We just paid money to see a porno and a half!"  I started to laugh at the stupidity of that comment, then I started thinking it a little bit.

Sure, the movie had a couple short sex scenes and some nudity, but to call it a "Porno and a half"?  What kind of shitty ass porno had these poor teenage girls been watching?  If they were serious, and there is always a good chance that they weren't, it should be an enlightening and educational time in their life when they get to see some real pornos!

Oh, the other good part of the evening was when we went to Walmart after the movie and I bought Season 2 of Archer. It is very awesome, here is some of the awesomeness:

Sometime next weekend (Jan. 27 - 29) I'm hoping to see the movie The Grey.  It looks like a lot of fun. Here's the trailor:

Seeing more live music this year!

Over the course of last year I was lucky enough to go see some of my favorite bands and musicians. I got to see Colin Hay, Richard Cheese, Reel Big Fish, and The Dan Band.  Each and every one of them was as awesome as I could have hoped.  Especially Colin Hay and Richard Cheese, they were even better seeing live than I could have imagined.

2012 has now begun and I found out on Tuesday of this week that another band that I have been listening to for the past 9 months or so is coming to Minneapolis in March.  The band I speak of is The Joy Formidable:

I like their music a whole hell of a lot and when I saw them perform on Conan a few months ago, they were very entertaining.  So I am proud to say that as of Wednesday afternoon, I am now the proud owner or two tickets to see them live on Monday, March 19th, 2012 at the Fine Line Music Cafe in Minneapolis!

I highly suggest you check them out.  Here is a link to listen if you'd like:  http://www.myspace.com/thejoyformidable

Now begins the hard part: Actually finding someone to come me.
